"My great aunt was place at the Kingstree Nursing facility a few months back. As it is for most this was a hard decision for our family to make so we set out in search of the best facility we could find for her. Since the location was close to home and we are from such a small town we were familiar with some of the staff this seemed like a great fit for her. We weren't wrong in our choice. At first glance it's not the most glamorous of places and I was a bit on the concerned side that yeah this place was ok but we could do better for her. Our doubts were eased as time passed. She seemed happy there; the staff was very kind and attended to her needs quite well. Any issues we had seemed to be addressed quite quickly. The facility is very clean and the staff very professional. They made us feel like we had made the right decision giving her far better care than any of us could have provided. Since she's close we can all frequently visit her and we are always made to feel very welcome. We are always informed of the goings on and new things and issues that arise with her. They keep the patients active there are always little things going on to keep them busy which suites my aunt quite well. All in all I have to say we are super pleased with our decision to place her here. "

"I currently have a family member at the facility. I have been to a number of facilities, and the staff and therepy team seem to really care. Ive noticed recently how the staff were vwry interactive during nursing home week. They celebrated the residents and that meant a lot to see. My family member really enjoyed himself, and this was the same person that didn't want to even go anywhere for therapy that he much needed. The soicial worker helped to get him settled qhile the head nurse made him also feel comfortable. No place is perfect but I like to give credit when its due, thank you allbfor all you do."

"My brother is staying in Sunny Pines Boarding Home. It's a nice place. I've been there before. It's a normal place for senior living. It is a group home where they have ten or more people there. They feed them and help with their medications and stuff like that. They have staff to help them with chores. They took my brother to the doctor. There are two people to a room. They have activities and then they take them to adult day care at certain hours of the day, I think about five hours a day or so. The staff are nice to deal with. I think it's a good price."

"My brother is a resident of Johnsonville Adult Care Services. They have a pool, kitchen, and everything. They do have laundry. It looks like they're doing a great job because he seems to like it there. And another thing, they let him go outside and smoke, so to some of them that means a lot, that would be a hard time making them stay if they couldn't go outside and smoke. My brother seemed to like the food. He's gained a lot of weight. The staff are fine with me because I have to take care of the statements and everything, but they are always as nice as they can be to me. I used the bathroom, and the bathroom looked clean. They don't take his whole check like some places do. His rate is like $1,700 a month, and that is with food and everything included."

"Mom needed a nursing home, so we put her in Commander Nursing Center. We were very pleased with this nursing home. The place was clean and wasn’t like a regular nursing home where there is an odor. The nurses were very nice and did what they were supposed to do. They give her three meals a day and have activities, like bingo and entertainment where people come in. They keep their patients busy. "
