This place was absolutely terrible. I would not recommend anyone sending their loved ones to this place. In person the staff is as nice and friendly as could be. Inversely many of the residents complained of being, hit, cursed at and neglected. Often times when I went to visit my grandmother she would be wet, and explained to us that she had been so for over three hours sometimes. I understand that caretakers cannot monitor everything, but very often we would buy her things, and would somehow take missing. Another disappointment was the smell of the facility. I understand that there are many elderly people there with various medical conditions which requires a large amount of medicine. However, as soon as you walked through the front door the smell just blew you away. I have been to other nursing homes where the smell is not near as pungent. I can compliment the aesthetics of the facility though. The facility is newer therefore it looks good from the outside. The rooms are clean on the inside as well. I guess the saying is true that you get what you pay for. My great-grandmother never had a tax-deductible income therefore her fixed income could only afford so much. Nice facility, but a terrible staff. When she lived there the ownership used the name Savannah River Nursing Care but has since changed the name to Tetra
