I am/was a resident of this facility

Bethea Retirement Community is the best place to go if you need to rehabilitate from an illness or injury. I stayed here in October and November of this 2021 year. I was most comfortable and very happy during my stay. I was pleased that it was a Christian Based Community. They also have assisted living and home ownership available. The food was good, the service excellent and the staff most competent. The Community is located in Darlington, SC, just 4 miles from Florence. Registered Nurses (RN's) and other medical providers and a doctor are on staff. Transportation to and from the doctor is provided by ambulance. The landscaping is beautiful where the well lighted outdoors has nice patio furniture plentiful. I would take my guests out there to get away. Everything inside and out was freshly painted and the home smelled so good. My goal was to be able to walk again. The best Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy trained professionals helped me meet my goal. I have been to many Rehabilitation Centers and they do not compare. Yes, they pushed me but not where I just could not stand it. They were all so personable. And our activities Director was an angel from God, who I would have sing at least one Music Note when I would see her...Heavenly! And she thinks she can't sing. Well, when I have my "Praise the Lord for Healing me" Hotdog Party in January, I am going to get her to sing for us at my home. Then maybe Sunday School. I want her to sing, "The Lord's Prayer." She can do it. Bethea also has an aquatic training but I did not experience. When I was leaving to go home, I was given the choice of "in home" Physical and Occupational Therapy. I chose to do outpatient therapy with Bethea as they were so good in helping me walk, etc. I needed Balance and Strengthening as my continued therapy. I recommend Bethea Retirement Community as your place to get healthy from illness or injury. For more information and take a virtual tour, Go to Web site bethea baptist church darlington sc

I'm moving next week into Bethea Baptist. The accommodations that they presented to me were nice. They are redoing the apartment. It's going to fit my expectations. The meal plan is good. The location is good. The personnel seem to be very nice. They have three meals a day. They have a swimming pool available nearby. They have a fish pond, and the grounds were really nice. They've been very nice and helpful explaining everything to me, and they have left me with no questions.

For a senior citizen, I think Bethea Retirement Community is all encompassing. They had a lot of amenities and it's more in a rural setting, but it has a very nice dining hall. We looked at several of the room accommodations, and like most of these facilities, they have transportation to local areas, day trips, and to doctors' appointments. They even have a bistro where you can buy sandwiches and get something to drink if you miss the mealtime for some reason. You can also go down for coffee in the morning and visit with other people. It also has an all-weather indoor aquatic center. They were having a Bible study when we were there. As a full service facility, you can go there as independent living, then you can go to assisted living, and then a full nursing home, all at the same facility.

Bethea Baptist is really good. The facilities are clean and efficient. The staff is very nice, and the food is very good. The dining room is very clean and has a lot of tables. The rooms are small but nice.

Bethea Retirement Community was topnotch. There's nothing wrong with it at all. It's a really nice place, but it's too expensive for my friend. It is big and they've got different sized homes. The assisted living section was inside the big building, it's recently been remodeled, and it's just really nice. The food was good. They have a swimming pool, an exercise room, a library, and access to computers. The staff member was informative and very courteous. I have no complaints at all about her.

Nothing really impressed me at Bethea Baptist. The staff member that gave us a brief tour seemed to be interested in finishing the tour quickly. They didn't seem interested in pursuing our business.

Bethea Baptist is the one that I preferred because it is a community that is sponsored and run by the Baptists. They have single-family homes, apartments, rehab, and assisted living. There’s total care in one community. I certainly thought it was a great advantage. I liked the atmosphere and the people working there. I would live there. For me, it would be really cool to go into a community where we can live in a home together and when the time comes, to move progressively toward the end of life.
