I would highly recommend Epworth Manor Personal Care I moved my father to Epworth 5 months ago. I am very happy with the care he receives. The entire staff are excellent caregivers, They are very professional warm, kind and very friendly. They make the residents fee like family. They always take the time to listen and give that extra personal touch. My father feels comfortable, safe, happy and well cared for. They keep me informed of any changes or concerns and they always answer any questions I might have. If a family member, friend or you need personal care you need to visit Epworth Manor.

This facility has a caring staff but they are overwhelmed because of the corporate greed that won't pay for up to date equipment and enough staff. I have to wait sometimes up to 45 minutes for assistance after pressing the call bell because there will only be one aide and one nurse on the entire floor which is Guardian Corporations blame and nobody else. I'm here for nursing care that I can't receive at home and had only one other choice of where near my home that is worse than Epworth Manor because the staff are horrid unlike those here. If you value the safety of your family members who need nursing home care do not send them here because I'm 100% certain that not one executive of Guardian Corporation would ever place a loved one here. Since I've been here I have watched at least four aides and two nurses quit because of being overworked doing 12-16 hour shifts 7-10 days in a row. The rooms have Silver fish bugs and fruit flies because of housekeeping services being under staffed , on Friday there was one person to clean all patients rooms in the facility and over the weekend the housekeeping was done by someone who isn't even employed as a housekeeper. Guardian Corporations only care is profits over patient care and if you have to have a family member placed please for their safety and your peace of mind don't put them in Epworth Manor!

My wife recently received four weeks physical therapy after hip surgery at Epworth. I am reluctant to write a negative review during this time which is very difficult for health care facilities. Epworth, however, operates with an almost total absence of available and competent administrative management oversight which poses a substantial risk to its clients. The floor staff provided my wife with good and caring assistance. The facilities were clean and reasonable safety practices were present. Those who provide management assistance, client communications and staff guidance however were missing and non available. I encourage those considering placement of loved ones there to consider other alternatives.

Epworth Manor is an older facility, and they are upgrading it. Everything has been good so far. My mother-in-law loves the food. The dining area looks okay. They have great activities. They bring in singers, and they have bingo.

This is a very outdated older facility. Some attempts have been made at remodeling, but rooms are very small with a hospital like feel. When we admitted our loved one, there was no one to greet us. We were told which room to take her to, but no one came into the room for nearly an hour and a half. Most of the direct care staff is pleasant and compassionate, but hard to track down if needed. The further away from the direct care staff you go, the worse the facility is. Appointments are forgotten or sent out to an appointment when none was scheduled. Activities are inconsistent, being changed or cancelled without notice. The transportation van has been out of service for a year. A regulatory violation led to the locking of an enclosed patio, so residents are forced to stay indoors. Management is constantly rotating. In the past year and a half I have dealt with 3 different people working in billing, 2 different people in Social Services, 2 administrators... and problems are never resolved. Having been familiar with several other LTC facilities in the area, this is by far the worst run facility.

My mother has been a resident at Epworth for a year now she has had excellent care. The staff is very accommodating, very professional, polite and courteous to all of their residents. We have been there at various times during the day and the evening there is care available. they are above reproach. The staff wears many "hats" to help with duties so everyone is cared for. They keep family updated with any concerns and answer any questions you may have.

I have only great things to say about Epworth Manor. My mother has been a resident at Epworth since September. I really didn't think she would live a week. It is now February and she is thriving thanks to the care she has gotten there. I would recommend Epworth Manor to anyone!

At Epworth, the physical therapy department is outstanding. They explain the treatment, educate the patient and family on everything. They were also very encouraging and positive about working toward goals. The nursing staff were caring, courteous, pleasant, and professional. There was great variety and taste in the food-wonderful meals.! The cleaning staff were thoughtful of the surroundings, courteous and polite. It has made our stay more desirable for my loved one to be here- knowing that we received personal attention. They were very helpful every step of the way.

My father recently needed the services, particularly PT and OT, of Epworth for a period of time. Neither I nor my father had ever been to Epworth for any reason. After spending 11 days at the Manor, my father and I were very impressed with all aspects of the Manor. From the skills he learned in PT, to the nursing care he received, and even the quality of the food, my father was pleased with all. I too as impressed with the overall appearance and cleanliness of the Manor. And NO typical odor often noticed in senior facilities. We certainly would recommend this facility to anyone in need of this type of one.

My aunt was at Epworth Manor. It seemed nice. The social worker was fantastic, and the person that handled the finances was really great, but every time I called the nursing staff, they never returned a call. My parents were very frustrated with them. They’re trying to speak to the doctor, and he never called them, so we weren’t very impressed with that. My aunt was in a shared room, and it was just fine.
