"It was very nice. I have a friend whose brother has gone there and she says they're wonderful. They just seemed very helpful to any need you may have as an elderly person. They're just nice people. The rooms were small for two people. They have a salon, a small exercise room, and a sun room. The staff members I met were great."

"My husband is in Calera Manor Nursing Home. The facility is very clean for a nursing home and I never smelled anything bad. The nurses are all very nice and they always answered all my questions. My husband's room is nothing fancy. He has the room to himself, and it's just the standard nursing home room. He plays dominoes, and he loves the food. It is a very good facility. They will take care of your loved one. It is just a good experience."

"Placing a family member in a nursing home is traumatic and stressful for everyone. Woodview helped me as well as my mother through the process, This place is not glamorous but what really counts is how quickly the resident adapts to and feels safe in the new home. The entire staff watch out for and are involved with all of the residents. The residents all seem to be happy and comfortable. This is a wonderful place for people with Alzheimer's because of the quiet and calm environment. My mother has been here for almost one year and has told me many times nice everyone is and how safe she is. That is most important for the Alzheimer's patient. "I have a friend who works at The Ardmore Village in Ardmore, Oklahoma and they hold different functions that are open to the public. Every year for Halloween the decorate the Village with spiders, witches, and various other Halloween decor and invite all the residents and employees friends and family to visit. I have taken my kids there two years in a row and they had a blast. All the employees wear costumes and the local high school kids come help and run different booths for people to do for free. They have things like: a cake walk, face painting, and different games to play for candy prizes. They also serve food and there is no charge for that either. And of course there is candy and other sweets. I have met many people that live there and they love it. The place is beautiful, the employees friendly, and the residents happy. Even though it is several years in my future (I hope) I have already talked to the owner and the manager and informed them when I have need for that type of service I would like to go there. You have the benefits of having help if you need it but also having freedom if you don't. It is perfect and I hope when the time comes I am able to goto The Ardmore Village! "
