"My mom has moved into Abbyshire Nursing Center (Formerly Scenic Hills Nrsg and Rehab Center). We chose it because it's close to home. She's actually in rehabilitation services. They're working with her in therapy and also with memory care. They're just excellent. They've taken very good care of mom so far. The nursing staff is excellent. Everything has been wonderful. The admission process was easy. They are very efficient. They talk to me whenever I call. They answer any questions that I have promptly. They are doing therapy with her, but as of right now, because of Covid, they're not letting outside ministers or any activities directors or anything like that come into the facility, so that kind of stinks. The facility is very clean and it doesn't smell. We are not paying anything right now because we're still under Medicare for 100 days, but we will be going to private pay, and we are going to keep her there. We're not going to move her because she is receiving the quality of care she needs ."

"My father went to Arbors at Gallipolis. The overall experience was very good, they have an excellent social worker there. Of course we couldn't go in and see him because of COVID, so he was kind of lost on his own, but the nurses and all were very helpful. We were very pleased with it. I have three siblings and there were no complaints by anybody about it. I did not go there because I'm in Florida, but I have two sisters that live about there and at the very end when he was dying they let them go in and be with him, and they didn't have any problem with the facilities at all seeing him at that point. Dad wasn't really eating. They complain about the food all the time anyway, but he never complained, but I don't think he really even ate hardly anything the last several days."

"Overall, the staff at the nursing home was polite and courteous. I wasn't greeted as a guest when I entered the facility, but thankfully I had no problems finding where I needed to go. As for the room, I noticed that my great aunt had a bedridden roommate who mostly slept. The room did seem rather cramped for two people. While visiting, an orderly made his rounds and asked my great aunt and her roommate if they needed anything. He was extremely polite and friendly, and my relative obviously appreciated the extra attention he gave the residents. In addition to the comments above, the facility also appeared to be a clean working condition. The residents' beds, from what I saw, seemed to have fresh sheets and everyone's needs were being taken care of. There really wasn't much activity going on, as it was quiet time, so there was naturally a nice, serene atmosphere. "

"My mom was in Mountain View Care Center for rehab. It was clean, and the food was good. The people were very nice to my mother. We were very pleased. There wasn't always somebody to feed her. She can't see, so it's hard for her to eat on her own. The food was great, though. It was paid for with her insurance. They were so busy, and it was hard for them to sit and help my mommy. We always make sure we were there, though. I know somebody was there to cut hair and such. People would sit out front. They also have a church service and such, but she wasn't able to participate."

"My mother in law lived here for one year until her health declined. We were very pleased with the facilities, the staff, the food, the care she received and atmosphere. We highly recommend this place for loved ones transitioning from their home as they lose their independence. The cost is reasonable too. We have nothing but positive comments about this homey place. "

"I visited the facility during a fundraiser that was raising money to pay for Christmas presents for all the residents. The staff was very courteous to all the residents and the guests during this event. I found the buildings to be very clean and well decorated. The staff seemed to have a good rapport with the patients and appeared to sincerely care for them. I thought that the nursing home was in a good location on the edge of town. The surrounding area was quiet yet close to the park, shops, and restaurants making it convenient for family to take out the residents on outings. There was ample parking and outdoor space for the residents to enjoy short walks through. I was shown the rehab room where the residents can play games on a Wii to improve fine and gross motor skills. This nursing home seemed to be a warm and caring place where much needed rest could be obtained. "

"My mom stayed at Country Villa Care for seven months. The director was very nice. She had really good communication with me about different things, but my mom didn't like the food there. It was more or less 'just open a can of this and that.' The facility could have been a little cleaner, but there were a lot more people who lived in that house. The food wasn't to my mom's satisfaction. The caregiving was consistent. My mom had a private room, but it was very small, and it always seemed to smell of urine. That smell turned me off. She had a little twin bed and a chair in there, but it was private. The value was really good. It was the cheapest place we ever stayed at, but it just didn't work for her."

"My aunt is at Belpre Landing. It is very nice. I like the community, but we can't afford it. My aunt's room is beautiful. It's a private apartment. She has her own bathroom. Her room is very spacious. She has her own TV and a place for a loveseat. I love all the girls that work here. They have a wonderful lady who does arts and crafts. I like the aspect that the employees are allowed to bring their pets, and it makes it so nice for the residents because the residents look forward to seeing everybody's pets every day."

"The Willows Center has a very professional and caring staff. My mother has multiplschlerosis and after having open heart surgery she could not walk at all. The physical therapist here were more then eager to assist her in gaining leg muscle back to at least be able to hold herself up. The physical therapy room was all up to date with the latest equipment and technology. All of the staff in physical therapy was well trained and eager to assist.The nursing staff in the facility was also excellent. They all were concerned about her rehabilitation and made her feel like home.I would recommend this facility to anyone for rehabilitation or as a nursing home. The grounds of the faility was beautiful also.I would not change anything at this facility it was a great experience. "

"My sister is at Twin Maples Nursing Home. The thing I like best is the care that she is receiving. But it could use a little updating. The structure of the building needs to be updated. For activities, they offer bingo, crafts classes, and music where someone would come in and entertain them. I felt welcome when I stepped in. My sister is in a shared room, but it is very large."

"Heartland of Jackson has an excellent rehab program. My mother-in-law enjoys their activity program and she has gone out on a lot of outings. The ability for her to stay involved in the community is good. The personality and the personal touch of the staff have been great. I personally haven't eaten with her there, but my mother-in-law likes their food. She eats very well. I was there yesterday when they served lunch and it looked very good."
