I have been here for more then 6 years. I am alert and oriented. I can speak for myself when I need any kind of care. I have noticed that some nurses are so intent on their medication routines that they do not pay attention to the resident's comfort level. I have also noticed that some staff members spend a lot of their time chatting to each other about their personal issues. I do not know how these things compare to what is average.

My mother in law was placed here for rehabilitation and stayed around 2 1/2 months. She suffers from dementia. I feel this facility is under staffed and not properly trained. She was moved into different rooms 3 or 4 times. Had clothes, slippers and blankets disappear. She was left unattended in the bathroom and fell, passed out taken to the hospital where they discovered a blood clot in the groin, suffered multiple UTIs, developed VRE urine, and then a blood infection. We tried working with the supervisors and owners, filing complaints, several phone conversations and even a meeting, but nothing changed. She got worse instead of better. Finally, we decided to take her to another facility where she has already made improvements within a week. I would never recommend this facility.

I feel the staff at the faciltiy was not well trained, seemed un interested in the welfare of my father. It is a multi use facility with some people needing more care than others. Every time I came to visit I always felt sorry for those who were worse off than my father. His cathetor was not changed properly, his bed always needed fixed. The visits from the nutrition folks were sporadic and often non existent. My father was there to get better and go back to living a normal life, in this they failed him terribly. I felt the facility could have been cleaner, the staff better trained and better capable to assist those looking to get better. My complaints went un amswered. The whole time my father was there i felt like they did not have his best interest at heart. I would never give a positive response to anyone asking me if this is a place to spend someone they cared about.
