"My Mom here since Feb 2015, she absolutely loves her new home, she is 91 talks about how much fun she has each day so many activities, she loves the complete family of caregivers ,I recently retired and trying to visit her each rweek , I have failed to meet any one resident that does not feel the same about the staff members, I haven't met not on any occurrence anyone that I am not thankful for caring for my Mom .Food and Sincerity at this Wonderful Facility is truly a Blessing for my family and mother .Thank you Rusty Howard "

"My mother was in East glen for rehab, and I thought they were wonderful. They're very caring, very helpful, they take everything seriously, and I really enjoyed the fact that she was there. The staff was fabulous, and it looked like they had a lot going on."

"When I visit my aunt at the Golden Livings Center in Oxford, Alabama, the experience is unusual. When I enter the building, it was chaos. The aroma isn't the most pleasant and I've also noticed the rooms are very small. Especially for a double occupancy. Her living area consist of her bed,a small dresser and a t.v. The staff is very well mannered, ensuring that the residents are well taken care of, as well as answering any questions and concerns that the family of residents may have. The staff also ensures the safety of the residents they serve. When someone sits on the bed and stands up, an alarm monitor alerts the staff that they may need to check on the resident to ensure they don't fall down while getting out of their bed. The residents are also required to wear a bracelet with an alarm to alert the staff if the resident leaves the building. All together, I know my aunt is being taken care of. That gives my family and I peace of mind, knowing that she is being cared for. "

"St. Martin’s-in-the-Pines provides everything for mom, like medical care, food, bathing, and has a doctor and nurses on-staff. I think it’s real good care, and we are very pleased. I like the setup of the cottages, which are more like homes. They have a great area with the kitchen open, and you can see every bedroom from that area. There’s 10 bedrooms per floor. They all can come out into the main living area and eat together in the dining area where they cook the meals. "

"My experience at Anniston Health and Rehab Services was good. I enjoyed my stay there. It's just that the food was terrible. If they're going to serve something hot, they need to serve it hot, not ice cold. If they're going to serve meat, they do not need to dry it out to the point where you can't even cut it with a knife. It hurt my teeth. They need to rehire some people there that would do the job better. The other staff there were energetic and very, very kind. They would answer the call within 15 minutes, sometimes as quickly as 5 minutes. They need more staff at nighttime though. They seemed to be always looking for extra staff, but the ones that are there, do a good job. The facility was pristine and absolutely clean. It's spacious. The room I had was all right. It's small, but they provided a bigger television set, which was good for me. The air conditioner would freeze you out. The staff that came to clean the place did a good job. They have this special spray that is beautiful and makes the room just sparkle. They also have a laundry service where you put your dirty clothes in the laundry and you get them back in the afternoon on hangers."

"This is an excellent nursing home. CNA's work hard to make the residents comfortable and clean. They know what they're doing. The LPN's and RN's are experienced, mature and professional. All employees are certified in Basic Life Support (CPR). I stand nothing to gain from this evaluation."

"We toured Fair Haven Retirement Center and saw an apartment. It was roomy, clean, it had a big window with a lot of sunshine coming in, and it had its own washer and dryer in there. The staff was friendly and professional. It is assisted living, it had the typical amenities like beauty shop, a store, a bistro, ice cream parlor, and several different things like that. We had a meal and that was very good. It is just a nice place."

"I visited a friend at NHC Healthcare, Anniston. I liked that it was very clean, and my friend looked like she was being taken care of. The staff was very, very friendly. The food looked great. It was big portions and it was fried chicken that we had and it just looked very appealing. It was all on one floor, so everything was easy to get to. The nurse's office was in the middle and then all the rooms were just around so that they could see all the rooms. They had Bible studies, they had a workout room, and they had bingo. It was just very clean and very organized. It had a very nice atmosphere."

"I want to give a shout out to the Sylacauga Health and Rehab for a wonderful caring facility for those in our community who need long-term nursing care and for those in need of temporary rehabilitation. I have visited several friends through the years in the facility. Some who were there for health reasons and some for rehabilitation. Each time I've entered the reception area, I've been welcomed by friendly staff and volunteers. The air is freah, the rooms are neat and clean, and the staff encouages the residents to bring personal belongings from home to make them comforatable during their stay. Fun actitivities and special events are provided for the residents and families to interact with each other. It is a happy place!!"

"My sister is at the Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Cahaba River. She seems to be secure and comfortable there. It's been pretty good. They provide her with complete care, room and board, security and nursing care, and they administer her medications. She's pretty well taken care of there. The staff seems considerate and efficient. Her room is very nice, and they provide a bed and a TV, and they accommodated some of her furniture. She seems to be pleased with the food. It's a very nice and pretty facility, but it's very expensive."

"Background: My mother is in late stages Alzheimer's, has been a resident at TLC for 5+ years. Prior to moving my mother I explored six facilities using guidelines from the government, private sources and online reviews. I'm probably overly protective of my mother, a serious advocate for her, visit 2-3 times per week. I believe this to be important to her well-being and care. TLC's (Oneonta) in-house management staff is genuinely caring, accessible & available, pro-active and hands-on about residents in their care and the facility generally. This leadership extends to their entire staff exhibiting excellence in attitude and caring. This observation is long-term and first hand. The two person rooms have adequate space with individual built-in closets, adjustable heating/cooling, two TVs. Cleanliness is excellent. Laundry services are provided. The residents have the added benefit of a energetic Activities Director who maintains and implements a monthly calendar. She brings a smile and energy everyday. I've tasted various dishes served over time and the variety & quality has been good. There have been recent changes in food service I can't yet rate. One aside note that might be of interest: there are no unpleasant smells in the halls of this facility. Highly recommend ! Excellence and genuine caring. "

"My mother has been over at North Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the past eight weeks. They do a real good job over there. They give very good care and they're assisting us the way we need it. The rooms are just average, not anything fancy. There are no telephones in the rooms. We had to buy a television for her. They wash her clothes when she changes, they give her a shower, they feed her every day, and she has therapy every day. It's very expensive."

"My brother was in Attalla Healthcare & Rehab. It was also a nursing home. They would have activities and stuff, and their exercises and stuff were awesome. It was an older building and some of the rooms were really gloomy. When he needed the staff for assistance they would either forget or take a really long time to show up. He was not pleased about that."
