I went to Brookside Senior Living Community. It was very nice. The apartments were very nice. The place was well kept up. It was clean. The grounds are beautiful. My class had their 50th reunion there last year in July. They fed us there and the meal was delicious. The food was very good. It depends upon whether you want a one-bedroom or a two-bedroom, but there is a nice bathroom, a nice living room, and a beautiful kitchen. People come in and check on you and stuff like that. It's not a place like I've seen before in assisted living. This one is very, very well kept up. I haven't encountered the nurses, but I did encounter the people who served us dinner, and they were very pleasant, very helpful, and always right on hand.

I first visited Brookside several months ago, when I moved to the North Country from New York City to live near my brother. I am #1 on their waiting list, staying, in the meantime, in the small, friendly town of Lowville, where it is located. Brookside is a lovely, active, accessible community and there is an excellent Office for the Aging in Lowville to assist me with housing and social services while I wait. I am quite content here as I wait to get THE CALL.

My parents are staying in a senior community in New York named Brookside. It is a Mennonite community. There are facilities for rent as well as to purchase. The duplexes are generally two bedrooms and two baths. It has a formal living, breakfast from the kitchen, laundry room, and a one car attached garage. They have a central facility for eating or they can get their meals brought in. They have plenty of activities there. They have cards. They have concerts and musical groups come in.
