My mother-in-law just moved to GoodLife Senior Living Lovington. From what I have seen, the place is fine. She likes it, and the people are very nice. It's a small facility. The nurses were very nice and helpful with all the questions, so that is why my mother-in-law decided that's where she wanted to go. Their room for her was not some little bitty room. It's what they usually use for a couple, and they let her have it. It's really nice. It's like a private hospital room kind of. She has her bed, her own bathroom, and two large closets. She has a little area where they have her TV or a little settee. It's all kind of the same room. There's no stove or anything, and they furnish all the meals. They do a lot of gardening activities in the summertime. They do a lot of games at night. They have a Bible class that she was really thrilled about. They get together, and they have a big dining hall. They have a big community living area, so they can get together, sit, talk, and watch TV. It was really nice to have a big fenced-in back patio, where they did little barbecues during the summer and stuff like that. The rent covers all the utilities, meals, snacks, and everything. She doesn't pay anything except for her monthly rate. The staff was wonderful. I love the staff. They made the moving process smooth. I haven't eaten there, but the menu looked really good. I just went hungry yesterday when they were serving lunch. It smelled good. The layout of the place was great. For their memory care unit, all the doors outside are locked, so they won't just walk outside. They have to be with someone to go outside.
