We moved Mom to Elms Health Care Center, and we're very happy with the decision. She's in a room by herself and we really like the size of the room. It's very manageable with her own bathroom attached to the room. The staff has just been wonderful. They've actually had an ownership and management change in the past year, and everyone there is putting their best foot forward. There are lots of very caring and conscientious people. The facility is in the community that my mom has lived in for 60 years. It's a town of 1,000 people and so it's a chance for her friends, who are also elderly, to come and visit her. Then we can take her to the hairdresser she's familiar with, we can get her to church or they come to her, and there's a chance that she knows some of the people there. The general area is just a little dated looking, but that's just cosmetic.
