I am the POA for my brother who has early onset Alzheimer's. I had to move him from an assisted living facility to a nursing home in NJ, where we both are orginally from. The care was awful. They kept him drugged and then would call and say that he fell. After less than a year, I moved him to the memory unit at Warren Memorial, in my town in Nebraska. The care is excellent. And he is treated with dignity even though his condition is causing him to fail. They work with him to keep him active and they now have to feed him. Not only are the nurses and aides great, but even dietary and social services work with me to make sure he is getting the very best care. I wish I had brought him to Nebraska a year earlier.
