I toured Temple Heights Manor. The facility was very clean. The residents who currently reside there were very friendly and kind to my grandmother. I love the fact that they have everything in-house. They have a beauty and barbershop for the seniors to get their haircuts to maintain their looks, and they do crafts and events for the seniors every week. They have a laundry unit and everything there. If my grandmother is unable to leave or move about as far as being mobile, everything that she will primarily need is already there in the facility, and that's what I love the most, and even she was very impressed. My grandmother wanted to stay in the model unit that we toured. I told her, 'Grandmother this is just the model unit for the tour.' She was very impressed. Even when we were leaving and exiting the building, one of the residents asked her, 'Are you going to be my neighbor?' And grandma says, 'I hope so.' And she's like, 'I'll see you around. I'll see you when you come back.' Everybody was very kind to her. My grandmother kept saying that these people were so nice. Right now, she's kind of at home by herself all day, and so she's very enthusiastic just to have that community while still kind of living on her own because she can still do some things for herself. So I'm excited about what's going to happen. The staff who toured me was very nice and very knowledgeable about the facility and accommodations. One of the great things I like about them is that in all the bathrooms, the bedroom, and the kitchen, they have these emergency pull strings. If my grandmother falls, the string goes all the way down to the floor, and she can pull it and it automatically alerts EMS. So even if she is by herself and she falls, she can get help right away, and that made her and me feel better. And they have those in all the main rooms in the apartment.

I liked the whole situation and how Temple Heights Manor was set up. The apartment was nice. They had workout rooms and they were building a barbershop/salon for everybody. They had a community area where you could play chess or cards and watch TV. It's nice. They also had a couple of rest areas where you could go outside and sit on benches.
