I liked Applewood Pointe of Woodbury because it's around a lot of places where you could eat and get healthcare and things like that. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was a little smaller place. There weren't as many apartments as some of the bigger ones, so that was sort of nice. They have a library and laundry in the apartments so they didn't have to share with anybody. They have underground parking. They have some walking paths nearby and they had internet. It was very clean.

Applewood Pointe of Woodbury is one of the places that when you put your money into it, it's yours and you can sell it rather than just let your money go. In other words, you can build up equity. They have a social area. The rooms and the staff were all excellent. The apartments were quite large. Some have two bedrooms and they looked nice. There's no dining there though, so you have to buy your own food. There's no assisted living. They have a large area with tables where residents can get together and play games. The facility looked very good and very neat. It's in a quiet and wooded area.

We were impressed with Applewood Pointe of Woodbury. We liked everything about them. There didn't seem to be any real drawbacks. We liked their building and the amenities. There were other places that had better amenities, but there was an available space for us that we could get into right away. They had the usual game room, meeting room, kitchen, guest room, library, woodshop, hobby shop, and exercise room. They had very nice staff, and the people we met were all enthusiastic about living there. There wasn't any food. They only had independent living.
