"We went to Hathaway Hills Assisted Living & Memory Care. It's very, very clean. It seemed like the staff was very caring and there were very nice facilities and things for the residents to do that kept them busy and made things enjoyable for them. We were able to go in and see one of the rooms and it was nice. The size was very generous."

"My sister moved into Country Friends. She enjoys it, and she's happy there. There are only, I think, 20 residents, but they do have activities. And she likes her food, so that's good. We chose Country Friends because everyone who worked there seemed happy. Her room is small, but it's private."

"Masonic Pathways really worked with us to get an opening for my dad. They also have really nice and phenomenal facilities. Even in the dementia wing, the residents have their room and bathroom. The quality of the food is really good. Every day, there's a special and if they don't like that, they can pick from about six other choices and multiple side choices. They have a lot of resources to get to doctors' appointments. They also take both Medicare and Medicaid. We are very satisfied. The ratio of staff to patients is amazing and the amount of attention they get, not just for getting treatment but also somebody passing through their room and talking to him, is phenomenal. It's absolutely gorgeous. You don't feel like you're in a nursing home. They make sure they get my dad a cookie and snacks at night. There's a lot of hands-on attention. They have beautiful carpeting. They have ceramics and activities, like sewing, coloring, and bingo. They also have lots of little neat things like yesterday we went and picked my dad out a new sweater from the free boutique that they have where you can go and get really nice used clothing. That one is very unique. You also don't have to be a Mason to live there and it's open to everybody. They have a hydrotherapy tub. My dad doesn't have to leave his floor to get a haircut, and they also have on-site optical exams and clinics. It costs $5 to get to a doctor's appointment round trip. They have a beautiful on-site chapel and beautiful grounds. The rooms look like nice little apartments and special touches like designer bed spreads and beds with all the features of a hospital bed but they don't make it look like a hospital bed. Every room also has a recliner. It's really nice."

"Having volunteered and having a relative as a resident at this home, I can say that I have a positive view of this establishment. The interior is very clean, bright and friendly. Staff are mostly competent; however, a hiccup does occur every now and again. Masonic Pathways Senior Living Services are very flexible about allowing guests and volunteers in, which enhances the general environment. The care equipment seems to look near-new for everything that I've seen so far. The building is well-staffed, activities are planned for those looking for more, and animals are brought in to bring a smile to the faces of residents. Aside from sparse minor day-to-day errors, this is a quality living center. "

"The rooms are fine but not all of the wheel chairs fit in the bathrooms. Shower's in the rooms are too small for bariatric patients. The Laurels discharged me and I was unable to walk. I had to go back in the hospital to find a new rehab facility. I would not recommend the Laurels to anyone. The food sucks."

"McKellar Adult Foster Care is clean. They're very caring, and they have all home-cooked meals. They have rocking chairs on the covered porch, so you can sit outside and enjoy the weather. They have individual rooms with individual bathrooms. They have a room where everybody can congregate to watch TV or play games. They do games weekly. It's been so far a great experience. The staff is very caring. The room is large and holds all the stuff my mom needs, her bed, two chairs, a dresser, and her TV, and the bathroom is sufficient. The people that work there are very caring and very giving. They help her only with showers and sometimes with getting dressed. They do bingo, Euchre, and movie nights where they do movies and popcorn. It's a good value for money."

"I have chosen Rosewood I for my parents. They accept Medicaid waivers, while the others do not. They are Johnny-on-the-spot, and they are taking good care of my parents. If they are happy, I'm happy. My mom has dementia and they took her. They also have one guy that is over 100 years old. Everybody is very nice. My parents like the food, too. It is a big white building with big pillars at the front. It looks like the White House in Washington, DC, and that's what hooked my parents on it. They love it. Regarding activities, they're not into that stuff. They just want to do their own thing. They have activities, though."

"The facility has just gone through a beautiful renovation. It is lovely and so comfortable for the residents, The rooms are so comfortable having their own bathrooms and little kitchen areas. I did not eat there, but the food always smelled delicious and I know they gave the residents what they wanted and special treats. The staff were all so wonderful and caring to my sister-in-law while she was there. She was not always easy to care for, but they stayed on top of her needs. The had fun and creative activities for the residence, from music, doing their nails, tea parties, happy hour, and special crafts for holidays. There are outdoor places to sit and the staff often will have special activities or treats outdoors. Mt. Pleasant is a nice town with many restaurants and activities with the college right there."

"I have been to New Hope Assisted Living LLC. You have to be ambulatory to go. It’s very nice, but people who are not ambulatory or can’t walk, or use a cane or a walker, they can’t live there because of the small staff. It’s very nice though. They only have like 12 to 18 people or something like that. It’s very nice. It is out in the country, and a lot of the people have their little birdfeeders so they can watch the birds, flowers, and trees. It’s very nice for an elderly people who like the country or has always lived in the country. I like it, but it wasn’t what I was looking for. "

"My Grandmother selected Green Acres in 2015 over several homes in the area and never regretted a day. Over the course of a year they had some administrative changes that improved her care and training of the staff. Not only was she always treated respectfully, she had privacy and help when she needed it. Our family wouldn't hesitate to recommend it over other options in the area. "

"Golden Life Adult Foster Care has been great. The staff is very helpful and very knowledgeable. I have no complaints. My husband's room is too small for two people, but he's alone now; it's not so bad, and it's very clean. The meals are fresh, not frozen, and they're very good at cooking a decent, healthy meal three times a day. The dining area is like a family table where they all sit around, and they serve the food on their plates. They go for walks, they have outings, and they play games. The dirt driveway is just so bad, but it's a very happy atmosphere."

"We had an amazing experience with our mother's stay at Applewood. The home is small and homey, which is what our mother loved. The staff was so caring and attentive. We were always notified quickly with any changes in her health. Beverly felt so much love as did we from the staff. Kudos to Applewood - they are the Best!! "

"My mother-in-law stayed in Mission Point of Greenville. The staff was very, very friendly and caring and they helped her a lot. The people in rehab worked with her a lot to try to strengthen her. She was in a private room. It was quite expensive, but that's because of the rehab part. We were there when she had her meals, and she enjoyed them, so the food was probably good. It was a nice room. She had a bed, but they would put a mat on the floor. They didn't get any railings or anything to keep her from falling, but I guess that was because they can't restrain people. It was clean. She didn't get involved with anything, but we did see that they had a schedule of things that the residents could do. They took field trips and things like that."
