"I just moved my mother into this community and could not have asked for better service. We were provided with names of movers and other things you typically don't think about when you are making this type of move. The Executive Director gave us resources and had the maintenance person waiting on us and helped us move in. There was a welcome gift for mom and a nice blanket. Mom has been here for a month now and it is just as wonderful today as it was the day we moved in. "

"Putting a loved one in a nursing home is never an easy decision. My mother had several falls before we realized she needed care everyday! Heritage was recommended to us and we couldn't be happier! Her room is spacious and very clean. Staff encouraged us to bring special pictures and items to help with the move. I love all the staff! Everyone from the nurses to the aids to the cleaning staff and the maintenance personnel all made mom feel safe and secure! Danielle is the activity director who encourages mom to get involved in memory games, exercise and manicures! I feel she is getting better just the few months she has been there. We haven't been able to take advantage of the beautiful grounds available for patients to enjoy, but look forward for spring to get her outside! When we took mom to my house for Christmas, when she became tired, she wanted to go Home and get in her bed! That says it all!"

"I'm a resident of Woodlands Retirement Community. They have both assisted living and independent living. My cousin did not financially qualify. I have nothing negative to say about it. Everything is top of the line. The apartments are excellent. They have cornhole, Bridge, musical performers come in, and parties on the holidays like Halloween and Cinco de Mayo. There's something going on all the time. The facilities are top of the line. They have religious services, in-house physical therapy, in-house nursing staff, and an in-house clinic. They have community dining. On the holidays, they usually have a special meal. The food is good."

"Wyngate at RiversEdge Senior Living Community was a really good facility. The place was beautiful. I went there at Christmas time, and they decorated it really well for Christmas. The people were really compassionate. The staff was very friendly. They had a lot of activities for the residents and they had live music at least once a month. I had breakfast with them - sausage, egg, cheese biscuit, and then they had warm cookies out of the oven. The rooms were really nice. They were laid out really well."

"We visited Paramount Senior Living at Cabell-Midland Assisted Living. It was clean. The room was like a hospital room, I didn't like it. The grounds were pretty. The person who assisted us was very helpful and nice. The dining area was beautiful. They were playing games."
