"My mother is in the memory care unit. Her care is exceptionally good. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They contact us if they have any questions or need to share concerns. They seem to love their jobs and the elders. Someone mentioned there’s a lot of turnover but if you consider that some of staff are from a nearby college town and some others are military spouses that can be the reason. Some staff have family living there. They follow that adage to treat all elders as if they were a family member. As far as being a distance from a town of size, who cares, rural folks need care facilities too."

"I like that the Redbud Plaza Assisted Living was close to home. I like that it was kind of a small facility, and it seemed to be pretty well cared for. It was also close, just right next door to the hospital and the physical therapy center. It's older, and it shows that it is. It was clean, though, and they have a beauty and barber shop. We had a scheduled appointment, but when we walked in, the staff there acted as if she didn't know what we were talking about. After a few minutes, though, she was fine. She was very friendly and gave us the tour. I was just a little put off at first. The dining area was small, but the lighting was fine. The place had a nice view for the residents to sit out in the front and look out. They were also decorated for Christmas during my visit, and that was nice."

"What an amazing care home! Everyone feels welcome and loved. The residents have their privacy. The CNAs are the best in the world! My mother has been to many care homes and we've never been treated as well anywhere else. The staff truly enjoy their jobs. The residents have activities they can attend everyday. There is church every Wednesday and Sunday for those who would like to attend. The children in Centralia Schools come to visit, sing songs, trick or treat, and much more. Great community. The rooms are spacious. "

"The home is absolutely wonderful. I read the review about the smell from the cat. There is NO smell, even in the room that has the litter box. The cat is great for resident therapy. The staff is genuinely concerned about the residents and do whatever is necessary to do what is best or needed. "
