I liked what Lakeside Village had to offer. I watched the people, and the residents seemed to be doing really well from what I could tell. I didn't see many staff, just the person that gave me the tour, who was very, very kind. They had a workout room and a beautiful dining room. It's overlooking the lake, which is really cool.

My mother is at The Lakeside Village. It's a very nice facility. It's beautifully situated on Lake Panorama. She started at independent care, went to assisted living, and now is in memory care and the staff has been wonderful. The food, for the most part, is nutritious and tasty. If they don't like what's on the menu, there are alternatives. She's been very happy with her meals. They try to accommodate the residents and their taste. They have an exercise program and they do bingo, they do wi-fi things, and they have card games. They have a bus, so they take them to different activities and on scenic tours. They have bingo for both the assisted side and the memory care side. They have activity directors that schedule things with the residents. During COVID, it was kind of quiet, but now they're getting back into the normal swing of things. Value for money is excellent. Every resident has a different complaint, but staffing is always a problem. In any facility, there's a staffing shortage, even in the hospitals, but overall, they do a good job. It's a small town community, so everybody cares for each other.

My mother has moved into The Lakeside Village. It was very good. Her moving-in experience was good. We just decided she needed more activities, and she did not need assisted living and Lakeside Village offered independent living, so that's one of the main reasons for going there. I like their level of care, I like that the people are around and I like the number of activities to do. They have a coffee time; everyone gets together. They have movies, a church service, and Wii games. They have a lot of different activities. Her room is very nice. She has a one-bedroom apartment. The dining area seems very good. The staff seems very nice and very accommodating.

My father is in The Lakeside Village. I love the community, the staff is very good, it was a little hectic at the beginning, but they've done very well. I think they helped him gradually adjust their staff and care was really good in the beginning when we needed a lot of extra care. And now that he has improved, they've adjusted their care down to less. They're very good about communicating and in as far as when you have a question or anything, I know several numbers I can call. They do little exercises at least 3 times a week if not daily, there's an exercise room on one of the floors with very nice equipment, and I noticed some residents taking advantage of the treadmills and bicycles. There is also a personal plan for your exercise program, so they're excellent in that.

The Lakeside Village is about the best place to get into. The place is a little pricey, but it is all right. We are eating regularly here, I just come down when the food is ready. The staff is hardworking and they do what they can for you. The only complaint I have is that the elevators are located on each end of each floor. So, if you live in the middle, you have to do a lot of walking.
