I toured Lawton Senior Living. I was not impressed with it. It was more of a feeling I had when I walked to the doors. It's a smaller community and it did not have the open space like the other facility I went to. The rooms are still nice, but the open space is very minimal. The staff was trying to go with the things that they had. The one nice thing they did have was that the residents could do their laundry if they preferred to do something like that, which I thought was unique to their place, but the staff didn't seem to have as much experience as the one from the other community.

I have visited several assisted living facilities in the Sioux City area. Char Mac feels like home when you walk in the front door. The meals are amazing with home cooked meals and desserts. All staff, including caregivers, cooks, nurses, housekeeping, office and administration speak to the tenants by first name. What a heart warming place! Lots of smiles and genuine happiness in the air.

My parents were part of the Char-Mac family, I'm impressed with the quality of care Char-Mac provided to our parents. We were in town for 2 weeks visiting and all of the staff were super friendly and helpful! They really do great work at Char-Mac. They do care and treat all of their tenants with respect and dignity. They are always having different activities for all of the tenants to enjoy, they try to have variety and this is what makes them different from other places. Me and my wife had a great time visiting my parents, they said they were being taken care of incredibly and that the caregivers were very friendly and helpful. The best part is that Char-Mac is not a corporation, it is owned by members of the local community and they are great to talk to! I would recommend Char-Mac Assisted-living in a heartbeat.

I visited Char-Mac. It was very well-kept, the people looked standoffish, and I was able to talk to only two residents. Most of them were sitting in their rocking chairs. The staff was very nice, great, and showed me a neighbor's apartment. I couldn't believe the price and I couldn't afford it. They have a library and outings once a month. However, it needs a lot of work.

Wow! Char-Mac is exactly what we were needing for my Father. It is a warm and inviting place. They truly care about their clients. The facility is very clean and the staff are kind and very friendly. They go the extra mile on everything. You aren't dealing with a corporate chain, rather a locally owned program that is very accommodating. They customize the fee for the actual services needed or wanted. Wonderful care facility!

My Grand parents lived at this facility for a number of years. It is a fantastic place. The staff are fabulous and treat them with great respect and kindness. The facility continually recheck the services and increases them to meet their needs. The program is definitely one of the best!! This program goes above and beyond. I would recommend this program. It's very clean, and inviting. What a great place!!
