"I visited The Glenwood Supportive Living of Mt. Zion for my mom. All we could only see was the unit because it's on lockdown and we could not see much. It was fine. Their dining has more set scheduled than the other one we looked at, but their price was way different, too. But they said that if somebody does not feel good, they would not make them come to the dining room. They can take care of their needs if they say they cannot come into the dining area. It was acceptable."

"I toured Brookstone Estates of Mattoon South, and it was excellent. The staff who gave the tour was also excellent. I liked how the rooms and some of the facilities were set up. Their dining area is restaurant-style, and they have really good activities."

"What I like best about Tanglewood Village is the size of the rooms and the community itself. They were also friendly. They seemed to be caring people. They have four different-sized options for apartments. There wasn't anything I didn't like about it. The staff was great. Any questions we had, she was right there to answer them. She took us on a tour of all the apartments they have. She was intuitive with all the information about the place. They were very helpful. They invited us back for supper, but we haven't gone yet. Everything was fine. There was no smell, which surprised me because a lot of places had a smell to them. They were very clean. We went there without notice. We didn't let them know we were coming. I wanted to see what they were really like. Most places, if you tell them you're coming, they get everything spiffed up and make everything look really good, whether it is or not. We just wanted to go there and catch them off guard, so to speak. We caught them off guard all right, and I was impressed with it. The layout was perfect. I wouldn't want a studio, but they're pretty good-sized. The closets are horrendous. I couldn't believe the size of the closets. One of them has a dressing room, but their bedrooms are bigger than the other place."

"I've been to Jarman Center Senior Living Center. My visit was great. The rooms were large and spacious. The place was clean. They had done one food tasting meant for lunch, and it was good. The staff was very good."

"This community is clean and workers are friendly. The community is well laid out with ample parking and even small yards. The designs inside the community building are clean and inviting. The hallways are wonderfully decorated with flowers and there is ample space to move around with walkers or wheelchairs. When there are any problems that arise the staff takes care of it quickly and efficiently. Overall a very friendly and welcoming environment for elderly with many accommodations for their various needs. "
