"I visited the independent living community of Palomino Gardens Retirement Resort, and I really liked it. It was in a lovely area, and the residents seemed very happy. You could eat almost all day, and they have sandwiches later in the day. They have something like a buffet where you take the food yourself. If you're unable to attend the meals, they will bring the food to you upstairs. Everything was very clean. It was definitely a nice place. The one issue I had was that the apartments were small. I didn't interact with many staff, but the couple of people I did were very nice. The facilities were very clean, and everything was well organized."

"I moved into the independent living community of Wellington Bay, and it's great. It's luxury living, and like living on a cruise ship. Everything that you look for is here. The staff members are all very helpful. They have a library, a gym, indoor and outdoor pools, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and exercise programs. They have 4 dining rooms, 6 different clubs, and they have committee meetings. Everything that you need is included here. The food is all gourmet and cooked to order. You get what you pay for, and it's well worth it. There may be cheaper places, but there's no other place that you get as much for your money."

"Last year when I had the enormous task of finding a place for my father, I looked 5 days a week for a month so I saw a LOT of different places. I’m so glad to have found Joe’s Place, it’s the closest thing to home! Dad has a private room and bath with his own TV and recliner. He spends a lot of time on the back patio enjoying the lush backyard with pool right on the golf course, watching the birds and squirrels and golfers. At dinner time he enjoys the family style home cooked meal in the home’s dining room and then interacting and watching the news and game shows with the other residents after dinner. The home is perfectly situated right across the street from the community center that has daily activities for seniors. Karie runs the home in a very warm yet professional manner. The home is cozy and comfortable, immaculate and welcoming. Visitors are allowed to drop by at anytime, a true sign of a well run home. I live in Europe so I really rely on and trust Karie to take good care of my dad. The fact that there are just a few residents means the exchanges are very personal. I can text Karie if I need to and vice versa. There are a few residents who have chosen to live there on their own and I see them having a great quality of life with many activities and relationships with others. My dad has been at Joe’s Place for over 13 months and I hope that he will enjoy many more months and hopefully years there!"
