Fairview Haven

We found Fairview Haven for my parents. It's just very clean and very nice, the cost is a lot lower than most of the other places. They allow you to age in place, and they also have a nursing home and assisted living under the same roof. They offer housekeeping, three meals a day plus snacks. The independent living has their own dining room. They offer activities, transportation to doctors, to other fun things, and to the grocery store. They do laundry for you, or you can do it yourself, and it's all in one level. They're not there yet, but they will be.

Fairview Haven was very nice. It’s clean and much smaller. It has a nursing home, assisted living, and independent living. I think there are only 13 people in the assisted living, and I have her on their long waiting list. At this point, even if they had an opening, we couldn’t go because mother has a dog and they don't allow them. That dog is her life and I’m not going to make her leave it. They’re just nice and seemed kind and courteous. They had activities there, although they didn’t have as many as some of the others, and they also take them to the doctor.
