Generations at Neighbors was wonderful. I would have loved to have my brother-in-law there. Everything was modern, new, and clean. I thought we had everything wrapped up, and then all of a sudden, after the staff got the referral, she said she didn't have space. Why not tell me that beforehand, because I don't want to waste anybody's time, nor do I want to waste my time. I just would have liked to be told that there was a space issue, just be upfront. She took me to the memory care part, and I saw the rooms. Some were single rooms. Some of them were double rooms. Most people were eating at the time of day I was out there, so many of them were in the dining area, which was nice and clean. The entire place was clean. One floor that we went on did smell like urine. People have problems where they can't hold their urine or their bowels or whatever, but that's to be expected in any place, hospital, whatever the case may be. Other than that, the staff had all the activities listed for the month, and that was a plus. They feed them three times a day. They can either go to the store and buy their own snacks for their rooms. All the rooms had TVs. They did have a certain freedom where they could go through the place to a certain extent. It was like an open environment. It wasn't a closed-in type thing. I really liked that the people seemed to be happy. I observed them while they were eating and talking, and laughing. It's a beautiful place. I don't have anything bad to say about Generations other than the fact that the staff didn't let me know about no space, but she did an excellent job on the tour. About a week later, she said, "We don't have space, and there's about a six-month waiting list and there are people beforehand." She led me to believe that it was something that her facility could do.
