Osprey Park is brand new. It's probably less than two years old. They have apartments and elevators. They also had garden apartments that were single-level. They either were one-bedroom or two-bedroom. They were very nice. They had carpeted bedrooms. Some of the apartments either had a door going out to the patio or had no patio. They had a dining/living room area. They had a party area, a workout room, a meeting room, and a little cafeteria kind of setup. The apartments had a washer and dryer, cabinet space, and a refrigerator. It's very close to shopping. There's a Publix there. I don't think there was designated parking. Obviously, with the garden-type apartments, you could park right there. The multilevel apartment had four or five levels, and they have parking around, but it wasn't like right at the door kind of thing.

I lived at Osprey Park. It was apparent that they didn't have enough help. They would make appointments for people so that they could talk to them about their problems, and then they either wouldn't show up, or the office wasn't open at that time. When the leases were running out, a lot of the elderly women couldn't handle the computer and redo their lease, so people like me were trying to tell them step by step what they needed to do and help them, and there was a couple there that had money that absolutely did not want any help because they didn't want anybody knowing their business, so I felt very sorry for them. I could see that it wasn't what I expected to be a safe and comfortable place for the elderly. After they get to a certain age, they shouldn't be living there. They asked me if I would take a bigger unit since my unit wasn't available. When I talked to at least four ladies, they told me that they did the same thing with them, that they up-sale them, which means they charged an extra $250 a month for a two-bedroom instead of $1109 that we were going to pay for the one-bedroom. The carpet was dirty. I didn't have carpet in one room of my house, so I took care of it myself. People were always complaining that the garbage wasn't in the bins and that it wasn't cleaned up. There were often bags in the halls that had dog poop in them. It was pitiful. I have a cat, but she doesn't do that. They didn't have enough help. One lady screamed at me when she said, "I told you we don't allow anybody to transfer from one apartment to a smaller one, or to another one of our communities. It's against the rules of the company." It was ridiculous because there were one-bedrooms available. About activities, they had several visits from insurance companies that wanted to sell us insurance. These people would come in during the week. When the fall came, they started coming about once a week, and then at Christmas, they came twice a week, and we really had a good time with them. They fed us, sometimes it was just snacks, but it was really nice, and it was a good way for us all to get to know each other. The reason that I stayed there in my lease was because we had water aerobics in their beautiful pool three times a week. However, they had a problem with it and had it shut down for several months, and I was outraged. For one thing, I needed physical therapy at the time, so it was definitely not a good thing for me. Overall, they make it sound like everything is wonderful, but it isn't. If it had been, I would have stayed, but after the raise, of course, I couldn't afford it.
