The Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities Communities in San Patricio County, TX

"My mother lives in Mirador Retirement Community, so I'm there a lot. Her experience is very positive, that's what's probably causing her concern about moving. It has all the levels. It has memory, assisted, independent, and skilled nursing. She was in their skilled nursing before while she recovered from hospital stays. If someone calls for help, e.g., maintenance help, they're there in two seconds. She's in independent. She and her friends are not happy with the food, and that's coming from my mother. There's not a lot of flavor. Her room is gorgeous, huge, and very nice. The have a committee that actually has residents on it with the independent home staff to get the views of the residents, and they try to listen to what they need or want. They just changed ownership about two years ago, so I think they're still going through that shift in ownership. Except for the food issue, everything else is fabulous. It's expensive, but so are all these. It was expensive to move in, but I don't know what their new deals are now. My parents bought into it when it was just being built."
