"My husband and I moved into Elk Ridge Village Retirement Community in March. The minute we moved in, the residents and the staff have been exceptionally helpful. Various residents are extremely friendly. We liked it because of the size of the apartment. It's nice and comfortable and fits what we need. We have our lunch here in the afternoons, and usually enough to bring down what we have as snacks for supper. They were able to get us on the first floor, where we had a beautiful view of the lake. And we have a dog, so it's so handy to let her out the back. We're enjoying it. We've made a lot of friends here, and that's always important, to have friends and our families close by to this. So, it's just a perfect fit for us. They have exercise classes and they have games. In the mornings, there are some things you can do, exercise and such. But in the afternoon you don't have to be in your apartment very much if you don't want to. There's a lot of games always going on. They have a happy hour on Thursdays, and the first of the month is a cake for the month, whatever month it is, that's a cake for the birthdays. Then we have an ice cream social once a month. And so it's just a lot of things going on. We've not done a lot because we are just getting moved in and settled and we have had some sicknesses come up and kind of slow us down. But we're looking forward to being able to get out and join the games and things."

"Pacific Springs Village is beautiful. It's a very high-end country club type of facility, which is not what we are looking for. The tour guide was just wonderful in explaining that Immanuel also offers two other tiers of service, and one would be like a middle price value, and then the third one is an even lower price value, and it also offered assisted living. I said to her it would be so helpful if the website indicated these various levels of care. They have independent living and assisted living in two separate buildings. However, these two formerly separate buildings are now connected with what they call a hub, so it's more a U-shape, and the common areas for both facilities are in that center section. The apartments were high end, had a good layout, and were first class. The staff was very personable, very informative, friendly, gracious, answered all my questions, and also offered other information about another tier of service that Immanuel provides. She was very helpful. The restaurants were lovely. They had three different restaurants that offer a variety of food."

"We decided to move to Eastmont independent living over 4 years ago. I am so very grateful we did. So many things that would be of concern in home-living do not exist here or are taken care of. We were thinking of the future and our premonition came true. My husband is in Meadowview Care Center, a skilled nursing care unit. The good news is that I can visit and/or stay with him any time without going outside in inclement weather. Whether I am with him or not, I know he is being well taken care of by the kindest caregivers. That is such a relief. I, too have access to immediate care with a 3-digit phone, pull cord, or verbally by Alexa. We call drop into each other via Alexa. Eastmont encourages and enables us to stay fit with their exercise programs. It is challenging, There are ways to walk a mile inside or outside. It is interesting to notice how much friendship there is between staff and residents, which enhances our feeling of security. Resident friends really feel like family. We both love music and we can still enjoy together Eastmont's musical and other events inside Eastmont's complex. I currently take him in a wheel chair. This summer we also went to an outdoor event. All in all, we could not have made a better decision than to make Eastmont our home. The key thing I want to add: it is important to make the decision to move before you have to, so that you can come in easily and have the strength and well to make and enjoy friends."

"Love living here. The apartments are all lovely—lots of light, huge closets well-laid out kitchens. Residents and staff are all caring friendly. Activities are varied—something for everyone. Food is good. This was a perfect choice for us. "

"My mom has been at the Hillcrest Country Estates Cottages several times and had to stay at the rehab facility, but that whole complex is great. Affordability is a little bit of an issue. It is higher priced, but what they have, what they offer and the services they do are great. The best thing about it was the care and the service that she received from the folks that were there. My mom was very comfortable in that environment. She was really happy with the food. It was all pretty much home-cooked meals and she was happy. They had a complete rehab area. They had what you'd call a gym area, where they worked with everybody. They had steps in there. They helped them up and down. I'm leaning more on the rehab. I'm not worried about the amenities side of it in all honesty. In terms of location, it was good. It wasn't far. It's right up the road from Bellevue Hospital, and there are plenty of places to eat around there."

"We're going to put my parents in Immanuel Village. My mom liked it. Everybody was very friendly and helpful, and the price was really good. Everybody was very nice. They knew all the residents' names. I was just very impressed. We're going back for a luncheon. The apartments themselves were very spacious and each of them has their own balcony. The bedrooms were big enough for a king-sized bed. It had newer kitchens. It had a beautiful garden area where they could go out. It's got a fish pond and walking trails. We saw restaurant-style food. We didn't get to taste it, but it looked beautiful. They have an area where if the residents want to go and plant their own flowers, they can. It's huge. There are six floors and they have an elevator, so getting around is very easy. They have a gym, a beauty salon, and a shuttle service. On Mondays they take everybody to the grocery store. They go on certain outings. The staff member during the tour was awesome. It was very clean."
