"Each time I go to visit my grandfather is has always been a hassle free experience. I usually take my brother along with me and the staff never have any issues with us visiting him. The staff seem to care very much about us, they had already learned our names and knew exactly who we were coming to visit by the third time we had came. We usually take our grandfather for a short walk around the third floor of the building and along our walk we always stop to play a game of pool, he just loves to watch us play. Then we go out on the balcony for some fresh air and we catch grandpa up on whats been happening at home. After we walk him back to his room we begin to leave the building and the staff always tell us we are welcome back whenever. "

"Treyton Oak Towers was too large. It might be a little bit more complicated for my mom to get around, but I loved it. If I retire, that's the place I'm going. I liked it because they have excellent entertainment activities, I loved the views from there, the room size looked nice, and the staff was really nice. It's accessible to the downtown area, and if you want to get out and catch the bus, you can. They have bingo, an amphitheater if you want to play instruments, they have kids from local schools come in to do concerts, a woodworking area, art room, a nursery on the 11th floor, and an area on the 12th floor where you can sit outside and have a drink. You can see the downtown area and the University of Louisville stadium. I like how they separated independent living from the people who needed additional care. They're not able to come off their floors because they're restricted. The staff was wonderful and did an excellent job showing us around. The dining area was nicely setup, and if they want to bring people over and have a little private birthday party, they can do that."

"My sister has been in Episcopal Church Home for a couple of months now. It's a very caring staff. Dr.Cornett is a supreme gerontologist. She's in a large two-person room. They don't stay in the rooms very much, but being a shared room, it's a lot more affordable and enough for her. She has dementia, so she really doesn't know much about where she is or what she's doing. She likes music, and they have a cat and a dog; she likes to see them and pet them. They have big windows where they can look outside and a nice flower garden. The location is very convenient. The grounds are well maintained. The food is OK. The desserts are really good. They do a good job with the facility. She's in a locked down Alzheimer's unit, so we don't see that much activity, but they have lots that the people can participate in. Episcopal Church around here comes very highly rated, especially Dr. Cornett; she's excellent."
