"I have visited Clark-Lindsey Village. It's an excellent community. However, my mom is pretty well-off, and you'd have to turn over all of your assets to them. For a one-bedroom, you have to pay upfront about $120,000 and a two-bedroom is $140,000. If you leave, they sell it for you. They're very well-equipped, newly painted, and the flooring in them practically looked new and there was some carpet. The room had a dishwasher, large two-door refrigerator, large walk-in closet and everything was really nice. They even had a nice swimming pool, library, excellent dining and kitchen facility, and a lot of activities. We didn't like the fact that you'd have to turn over all your assets to them. We didn't eat there but we saw the preparation in the kitchen. They have three chefs and we're impressed with the point system they use on the meals. You're allowed to eat two meals a day. The monthly charge even after you pay the $120,000 is $3,800. We visited the senior living level, and they also had a nurse on duty for the extended care community."
