My mother in law was in the skilled nursing facility for a couple of months recovering from a back injury that left her temporarily paralyzed from her lower back down her legs. the day shift staff was excellent as they provided her with great care and addressed all of her concerns in a timely manner. It seemed all the staff members worked together to help the patients with their daily needs, such as the physical therapist getting the patient a snack, or rubbing lotion on them, even though it was not suppose to be part of their job. The night shift on the other hand was not as attentive, and i am sure because they had less staffing than the day shift, but they tended to get angry at her if she rang her bell for assistance to much. The patient were kept clean and everything was disposed of properly so there was no overwhelming odors when you walked down the halls. The staff was professional and friendly and it seemed every one worked as a team to ensure the safety and well being of the patients.
