I helped a family member of mine move to the independent living community of Eden Lodge in San Leandro. It's very clean and in good repair. I just thought there were a couple of areas that they could have improved with communication. They went over the rules when my family member went in to sign the paperwork, but they didn't give him copies of the paperwork. I'm still trying to get copies of all the paperwork he had to acknowledge and sign. I did like the fact that they actually physically read every rule and talked about it because some seniors don't read. However, they need to give him copies after they've gone over all that stuff. They explained that they have some events. I believe they have a staff member who is sort of the event activities coordinator, so they have a dedicated person for that. It's for independent living because you couldn't have any real medical issues since there's no medical support there.
