"My sister is living at Willow Creek. We have her assisted to go to breakfast, lunch and supper and get her ready for bed. There are 24 apartments there, and there are two nurses for day and night, and a cook and two helpers. It’s very good accommodations. They have exercise classes, bingo, singalong, and a lot of things going there. My sister moved in there in the middle of September. The workers are very good and they're all local people. The food is also good."

"I visited a friend at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria. It was really nice and clean. I like the rooms. The staff was really nice, and the rooms were clean and spacious. They had an elevator. I saw both the assisted living and the nursing home. They have gatherings every month, they can play cards or play on the computer, and they can have dogs or cats. It's on the lake itself, and it's beautiful."

"My mother is a resident of Nelson Gables. Everybody there is very friendly and well-looked after. They always have activities for the residents to do. She has mobility issues, and they assist her with that as well as showering. The food they serve sometimes is not very good on old people's stomachs. She goes to bingo and card games. The price is expensive."

"My mom was a resident of Vista Prairie at Windmill Ponds. The thing I like best is that she is not alone. They checked on her often and they ate meals together, so that would give her some sociality as well, even though she didn't take part in a lot of the activities because she was close to 100 years old when she passed away, but just the time together with staff and with people that she ate with, made it more fun for her. She had fantastic food. They set up the tables so nicely and she had a choice of something simpler or what they were serving that day, so there were always two choices for the meals. The facility was very good and top-notch. I looked around at other places, I think they were very fair."

"Edgewood Vista is very homey, and it was a good feeling when we walked through. It's clean and smaller and not too big. They have plenty of activities that go on throughout the day. Each day they have a schedule, and they have 2 different courtyards. They go out on different activities more in the summer than in the winter. My mom has only been there for 2 days. "

"I visited Grand Arbor. The amenities are a little bit greater. They have great big swimming pool areas so you can do workout in the swimming pools and they also have a therapy room. This facility is fairly new. It is in a nice location. The rooms are very nicely laid out. The dining room area was very nice and clean. They have a good cook on-duty all the time. Their menu was just excellent. One of the problem in this place is their price, it is quite higher. "
