The owners are a married couple and they started Oak Landing 24 yrs ago. They are the Administrators and are always there. The food is amazing. The facility is very clean and has no oder which was my first attraction. Great place."

"My parents are staying at Woodland Village Healthcare Center. It's very clean. They have plenty of staff. They work well with our hospice company, which also provides facility care for them as well there. My parents don't have any complaints about food. It is doing well. They have karaoke and bingo, and they serve three meals a day."

"I have a relative that is in this facility. She cut her arm somehow, no one seems to know how. The cut was very bad. No one called anyone in the family to let us know. They did not send her to the hospital to get it checked. After 2 nurses that did NOTHING, a third nurse came on to work and sent her to the hospital. It was a deep and wide wound and would have required stitches, but it was to late to get them. She is not the only one that things happen to, and it never gets reported. "

"I visited The Neighborhood at Cullman. They have everything that would meet my husband's needs right now. One good thing about it is they allow pets. I only got to see a one-bedroom; it has a small living area, a small kitchen area, then a nice sized bathroom and closet. It's very nice. I'm looking for two bedrooms, but the staff didn't have one to show yesterday. I think there was a microwave, a sink, and a small refrigerator, one that fit under a counter. The staff who showed us around was friendly, and kind, and answered every question. They allow more than one pet. I have a small dog, and their staff said, "You can bring it as long as you can take care of it.""

"We will move in. The price was better, and the space was good. Everything was good. It was clean and very nice. They do have transportation, meals, and apartment cleaning. The staff was nice, and they were eager to help us, and it was pleasant."

"First of all home sweet home is a boarding home not an assisted living. I have had 2 family members that has lived there for years. It is the only place I would 100% recomend. It may be an older building but it is clean. Maybe if the owner would not take in people that couldn't afford the rate she could buy new furniture. I'm in home sweet home often, all the residents love it there and has been living at hsh for many years. As for the dogs, well the residents love them and the dogs are a great asset for the residents. Don't judge a book by its cover "

"You can't smoke at Village at Cook Springs, and I didn't like that, but I liked that I can have my pet there, and it's all inclusive. I liked that the meals are included, and the fact that one of the administrators gave me her cell phone number so that I can call if I have any problems. The facility was beautiful. There's a little pond out there and it's got a fountain in it. It's gorgeous. WiFi, cable, and landline are provided, but I use my cell phone. There's routine little tours out. Like they were headed to Walmart for an outing when we left there. They had nice people and a nice administration. The meals looked really good, too. The staff was wonderful. The staff actually eats in their cafeteria, which tells you the food is a really good thing. I didn't have a taste of it or anything, but I have had somebody there before, and the food was excellent. They had excellent personnel."

"The Magnolia Gardens Assisted Living was a 16-bed facility. If you needed physical therapy or speech therapy, they would come there. There was a doctor on call. The staff who showed me around the place was Sharon, and she was fantastic. The food was amazing. It was like going out to eat."

"Terrace Lake Retirement Community was really good. The rooms were really nice, but small, that they have to put their couch and things in and their bed, all in the same room. The dining room was well lit. It's a very motivated place. I saw the activities room and met the activities director. The staff was very pleasant. They had an outside area where they can go out and sit on. It was a beautiful building, which they had just redecorated."

"Everything you need to have an enjoyable retirement. Plenty of activities and wonderful staff and residents. Apartments are a good size with everything you need. Plenty of activities to keep you occupied and active."

"My dad was a resident. The staff there was great. They were very involved, helping him a lot by bringing him meals, and helping him get dressed. The layout is gorgeous inside. When you walk in, there are fireplaces, and they always decorate, making it look like a place you'd want to go on vacation. It looks like a chalet. We had several meals with him, and they offered a lot of fresh options, including different dietary choices like kosher meals. The food wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't bad either. They have a lot of activities, but my dad wasn't very involved or interested in them. They had music, and I looked at their calendar, it just seemed like there were so many great things going on."

"My dad moved to Bridgewood Gardens. It's very accommodating. They are very personable and knowledgeable about their residents, and everyone is very friendly. It was close to where my dad wanted to live. We checked that, and it seemed to fit all the marks, so we decided to take him over there. Together I walked through and I liked it. We chose to go there. It's a nice and clean place. I haven't tried the food but my dad was quite happy with it. They can play a lot of board games. They have a night where just the men do something. There's a night that's for women to do. They have gardening and things like that. For the value, they appear to be very comparable to other facilities. They might be a little cheaper, which is excellent."
