I know that he's being taken care of. I would like to be able to go away overnight, but they don't allow their workers to flush his feeding tube, the only thing they could do is to empty the catheter, so I would like a service that is capable of meeting his needs if I go away more than 24 hours. Upon discharge from inpatient rehab 2 1/2 years ago, initially my mom received daily care, and now twice weekly as she improved. Each caregiver is truly caring. They have always asked my mom what and how she wants something done. The agency has been very responsive to any requests we have. So grateful for each and every one of them.

Currently my husband is in a Memory Care facility and required a 1 on 1 caregiver to acclimate to the home. There have been times when my husband attempted to follow me out the door but the caregiver redirected him and a uncomfortable situation was avoided. They help him with his daily grooming including assisting with shaving, washing his hair and brushing his teeth. They also assist with dressing and make sure he is using the toilet facilities. The caregiver has built up a wonderful relationship with my husband which has been invaluable since COVID-19 caused a shutdown of the home and I was unable to visit. I have met with the caregivers on several occasions and they have always been punctual, respective and very concerned for my husbands safety and wellbeing. They have made sure that my husband is eating his meals, exercise him frequently and attempt to take him outdoors weather permitting. I have received calls from the agency with updates and when I have had questions regarding coverage or billing I have always received a prompt response. They have worked closely with me to adjust caregivers hours in an attempt to reduce costs yet make sure that my husband's needs are being met.
