What a relief to find Shannon and her team of caregivers—they covered many shifts, both scheduled and on short notice, and treated my mom with kindness and respect. Our brother, who has mobility issues, lives 1,500-3,000 from any of us who are responsible for his care. He requires daily reliable care. After several fits and starts, we were united with Shannon and her company, Independent Home Care, LLC in Jaffrey, N.H. She and her competent and friendly caregivers, provide our brother the opportunity to live independently, where he wants to live. They take care of his daily needs, providing respectful personal care, cooking, daily housekeeping, banking and shopping. We are kept well informed on our brother's condition and his daily needs and because of them he can get to occasional tests and appointments. We couldn't be happier with their compassion and attention to detail. Without their competence and communication this arrangement would fail. On occasion when needs have changed there has been an open and fruitful dialogue to maintain the high level of care that both we and Shannon insist on. Because of Shannon's high standards and quality caregiving, our brother remains well cared for and living independently.

The caregivers at IHC are well trained, flexible, and compassionate. They have been so helpful as added care at an AL facility when her mobility became an issue. They help getting my mom going in the a.m., then returning in the evening to help get her settled for bed. Cannot give enough praise for the team, she looks forward to them coming now, after having been resistant to having/needing more help. Amazing professionals.

This agency came to our rescue when our mom had fallen and had multple fracturs of her pelvis, sternum and neck. She was residing in an wonderful assisted living facility but she was now requiring more support than could be provided for her in assisted living. We offered to find help so she could stay in this facility, her home, and we called on Shannon to see if she could help us out. Within a day, she had come to meet our mom and was off and running to support us with this new challenge. She came with a confident, kind, experience that we loved. She came to help our mom with showers, dressing, and getting to breakfast in the dining room by early morning. Shannon was felxible and helped us as we navigated how many days we needed her and how much time she needed with our mom to accomplish the care . She could not have been easier to work with and she helped us build a plan that was individualized for our mom. She worked with the nurses and aides, so as not to duplicate services. I can only say, I can highly recommend this service to anyone who needs help for a loved one who can't do it all on their own. She brought on support staff and trained them before leaving them with our mom and her hands-on leadership style gave us, the family, so much comfort. Thank you for doing this very important work.

The caregivers provided for my mother were always on time, always patient and kind, always communicative with me and collaborative with other nurses or health care providers. They helped with preparing food and eating, personal hygiene and dressing, sometimes just talking and keeping my Mom company.
