After arranging my mother-in-law's transportation to a medical appointment 3 weeks in advance, the day before the appointment we got an email from a female Elder Options employee stating that the person they scheduled to drive was not available. Later the same day we got another email from the same person that, "I can take her, no problem." When we got the credit card statement we saw that instead of the $184 ($125 for 3 hours of service plus fuel) the charge should have been, it was $450. We called Elder Options to ask for the invoice, which should have been sent but wasn't, and were surprised to see that we were charged $125 per hour for 3 hours, instead of the $125 which includes 3 hours, as advertised in the brochure. A phone call to EO produced the information that the substitute driver "bills out at a higher rate". Had we been informed in advance, we would not have agreed to that, of course. Fortunately, the credit card company agreed.

We were referred to Elder Options by a friend when my grandmother started to decline. The process of getting everything put together and get care providers for my grandma was quick and the staff was completely knowledgeable and wonderfully understanding. They were willing to do whatever we needed and help my grandma in any way they could. They were a big part of our support system as she declined, they were there until the end and we met some wonderful care providers that will be dearly cherished for the support and love they gave her. I definitely recommend this amazing team.

Elder Options came in and helped my wife after a shoulder surgery. Our care started with meeting with a nurse named Michelle, who became my wife's care manager. Michelle was so kind, caring, and helpful. She even developed meal plans for the care providers to prepare for my wife. She also checked in regularly with the caregivers to make sure my wife was on the right track. The caregivers that my wife had were amazing. She had Judy, Stephanie, and Donise. These ladies never had to be told what to do. My wife developed great relationships with these ladies and looked forward to their visits. I can't speak highly enough about Elder Options. They allowed me to get back to work knowing that someone I trusted was caring for my wife. I initially chose Elder Options because they have been in business over 29 years, but in the end it was the quality of care that will have me referring everyone I know to this company.

I am so glad it was Elder Options that was recommended to us and the care provider we had was an angel! Everyone who met her loved her. She is always upbeat and we all have so much joy and laughter when she is around. I would recommend Elder Options to anyone who asks about in-home care and assistance. Everyone was always kind, helpful, and accommodating-even with last minutes changes.

I live in the Placerville area and have been using Elder Options for over a year now for the care of my mom. The care providers are so kind and have become part of our family. My mom was resistant at first about having a stranger in our home but now looks forward to their visit. The care provider takes my mom to get her hair done, and they go to lunch often.
