"My mother is at The Bay at Nu Roc Health and Rehabilitation Center. I would say that the care is very personalized. The staff takes a personal interest. They provide individual care based on my mother's needs and desires. I'm talking about all of them, the nurses, the CNAs, the RNs, the food service staff, and the therapists take interest in pleasing their patients. They're very thorough in the care that they provide. For example, if my mother doesn't finish her meal or drink her beverage, the food staff would actually come in and talk to her and ask her if she had anything special that she likes to eat or drink, and they're willing to cater to whatever she wants as best as possible. With the therapy, they're very thorough. They provide therapy for her home living, or wherever she's going to. They ask what kind of activities she likes to do. When my mother was in the hospital, she did not participate in therapy at all. She declined. However, at Nu Roc, they are very creative in getting my mother to participate, and they have her do activities so that she doesn't even know that she's even doing actual therapy. They're very thorough, very compassionate, and understanding. They put her at ease. They're very friendly. They laugh. They have fun and have laughter. I was surprised actually how well the transition from the hospital to the Nu Roc was. My mother was in the hospital and she had not smiled or laughed at all while she was there. And then the day that I took her and admitted her into Nu Roc, we laughed so many times that first day that it really put my mind at ease. The staff is very caring and fun loving, and they make the best of the situation. They have a lot of activities offered. My mom's insurance has paid for everything. They had the COVID outbreak, but they put in protocols right away."
