This is a skilled nursing facility that has a long history of excellent care but has had a hard time of it the past few years due to turnover. Both their director of nursing and administrator were replaced in the last year--and the recent state survey found 22 deficiencies compared to an average of 8 across the state. They also recently closed their memory care unit and made that wing into a rehab unit. I'm hoping the new management fixes things and that they're able to turn things around. It's owned and run by Lafayette County, and both the food and activities programs are good. The building itself is in need of help. It's an old, 3-story building, and the rooms are okay--nothing special. It's in a good location within Darlington: a few blocks from the main street, near the hospital.
