My mom is in a nursing facility at Cortland Acres. The people that work there are super, super nice. They help out. The place is very clean. I think she is being well taken care of and being well entertained. They do everything. It is perfect. It's a beautiful brick building. It's nice and clean. It's up on a mountain, and the surroundings are just beautiful. It is a beautiful building. They don't have just a nursing facility; there's an assisted living besides it too. These people are all nice. They never ever turned their back on them or walked away. They're really nice people. Considering she has gained almost 10 pounds, the food is very, very good. Value for money is fantastic.

My mom spent a couple of months at Cortland Acres. They don't have enough people to take care of the people they have. Everybody that I talked to seemed nice. My mom's room wasn't very big, but it was clean. They had stuff going on like Bingo and there were people coming in to sing. It seemed everybody was well-fed and got plenty.

Sometimes being at home alone is scary for patient, friends and family. What better than to stay in your own small town facility cared for by local people. That is what we have with Cortland Acres here in Thomas, WV. With top notch administrators, physical therapists and nurses who could ask for more? How about the local GP working in the building next door. Yep, we have it. And a station of the ambulance crew shares the parking lot. Because we are a small community all the workers live close and know all the patients or soon do. Cortland is a loving extension of our community.
