Mom went to Nicolas County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for rehab. The food is disgusting often times it is left in "warming" racks for over 2 hours. They do not follow dietary needs of residents. Food is over cooked, salty and fatty! Mom doesn't complain even though she has diarrhea from eating their food. (Gave me diarrhea too) Worst of all their social workers have unduly influenced her that this is where she needs to be. They have stolen Mom from me. They're really good at it. Mom appeared drugged the day before she was set to go home and was lied to that she wouldn't be able to come back if she left. Other people near the home report that their loved ones have stayed for just the same reasons. They delay medical treatment and let their residents suffer longer than needed. Larry the Social worker and several others at the home commented that they just don't get tests done as quick as in other cities.
