The City of Robert Lee is very involved with the Robert Lee Care Center. The local churches rotate out and have church services there on Sundays. They have singalongs for the residents and physical therapy scheduled every day. Their activity calendar is full. What I'm most pleased with is that my mom is getting excellent care and they're good at communicating with me regarding her care. She's got a couple of folks that she worked with that actually are there or have a loved one there, so she has lots of interaction with them. It used to be a hospital, so it's more institutional looking than some, but they keep it clean and everything's good. There's longevity in the staff. You get to know them and they are from the local community as well, so they also know my mom, which makes a big difference. They just planted a little window garden with vegetables and stuff that's in a planter and a group came by and put out little bird feeders outside their windows for them to be able to watch the birds eat. They come by regularly and fill it up with seeds. They also have a gazebo outside. The community takes care of them.
