Senior Village is the only one in town. My friend is not happy being there, but there's no place else to go. They change their staff every other week. They're just not caring and they're there for the job. My friend has early stages of Alzheimer's. He can be asleep in the morning but they don't wake him up to feed him. And they just now started doing physical therapy with him because his whole body has started atrophying. He has fallen a few times since he'd been in there. The food is horrible. They get enough money that they could provide decent meals, but they don't. They have a television, a bird sanctuary, and that's about all I've ever seen anybody do. They're supposed to be charging Medicare but they're not. His wife pay $5,000 a month out of pocket for him to be there. At least it is cleaner than most. But they could improve on the food and the staff.
