My mom has been in Alpine House Assisted Living for a little over a year now. It's a small, intimate type of community. It is not large, but the building is clean and well-kept. She does complain a bit about the food, but the staff seems to be responsive. They talk to her and try to meet her needs. She seems to like her room. It fits her well. It's a one-bedroom with a living room and a kitchenette area. She doesn't seem to have any trouble with it. The reason why she wants to stay there is that it is small, and she knows several of the residents there. She's lived in that community for 60 years, and so some of the people that are there at the facility, she's known for years and years. That's one reason she didn't want to leave and come over closer to me. It seems to be laid out fine, there are exits where they need to be, and it's easy to access. They do activities but they probably could improve. The pricing is pretty competitive.
