My aunt used to be in the rehabilitation part of Ashtabula County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. I think they do the best they can. For my aunt, they didn't have the staffing for the memory stuff; but as far as their rehab and nursing, they were fine. Their staff was good too. They were very good and very informative. The location was very convenient. The facility itself was clean and well-kept.

Ashtabula County Nursing Home had good people, good services, and had something for everybody. They took all kinds of people. The staff was very good, and the rooms were average.

The home itself looks decent. Most of the staff are friendly, but my grandpa said that there was one nurse that was tending to 25 people on his wing, and it took them forever to get his meds to him. The food was ok...better than the hospitals. When you rang the call bell it seemed like it took them forever to check on him...but then when they realized he had visitors...everything was "What else can I get you sir? Would you like a warm blanket?" The charge nurse was nicer than the STNA's. If you walked in the building they would all be sitting at their stations...playing with their phones while call bells are buzzing and residents are yelling for something. I wasn't very impressed myself.
