I went to Gran Signora Manor. I didn't like that the apartment only had one window and a single bedroom. It was nice that, if the electricity went out, they had a generator for the bottom floor, so you could go down there to eat or whatever. They had refrigerators for food and a place to play games. They also had a place where you could pull in if you had groceries. They had carts where you could load your groceries and things in the cart, take them to your room, and then bring the cart back down. The rooms were clean, and there was lots of closet space. I just like a lot of windows. The staff was very nice, very courteous, and very helpful in showing me things and answering questions. You have a kitchen and dining in your apartment, and you can go downstairs, either way you want to do it. They had a small kitchen, and you could go down there and cook your meals. I don't think they had somebody that makes meals because it wasn't assisted living. If you wanted to have a party, you could have parties there and use the kitchen. I just met one lady, and she was very courteous, answered all the questions I had and pretty well explained everything, the fire alarm system and the locks. She was very thorough. If I went somewhere, it'd probably be if the rent wasn't so high. They had washrooms. They had a parking place for people to visit, and the other parking place, you had to go across an island of land and a driveway to get in the front door, which I kind of was wondering about at night, but it was well-lit.
