I toured The Carriage Club. Jona, the manager, was very thorough. She took her time and gave good information, but I didn't care for either apartment that I saw. Both kitchens are dark and dated. She said she has something in June she can show me, so I'm open to looking at that. I absolutely want a balcony, and neither of the apartment yesterday had a balcony. I liked the location very much. I have lived in that area before. It's near the highway, stores, and some friends of mine. In that respect, I liked it. The best thing that I liked was the indoor pool, the exercise room, the walking trails around the building, the outdoor decks where you can sit in the summer and have lunch, and the greenery around the building with the trees. It is a quiet area, yet very near shopping malls. I wish there were central air-conditioning that would be quieter than a wall unit. I don't know how noisy that would have been because it wasn't running when I was there, but that's what they have. I liked the big window, and if you have a balcony, it would be even brighter. It's only independent living at this unit. They don't have assisted living.
