Our mission at Heartland Assisted Living is to maintain, if not improve, our residents’ quality of life by addressing each individuals physical, social, and mental needs. We cater to relatively independent senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. We provide housing in our unique, farm-style facility, home cooked meals, the opportunity to not only watch our numerous farm animals, but also have the option to feed and have hands on in interaction with them, all the while, receiving around the clock supervision and assistance. We promote independence and encourage maximum self-determination through recreational, fitness, and social activities. Heartland has a wide variety of suites to choose from; all with beautiful views and décor that is unique to Heartland Assisted Living. All suites include a bed as well as your own medicine cabinet. All of suites are also All Inclusive. Services Available: Heartland offers many services to make the transition to a new stage in life as easy as possible. My overall experience with Heartland Assisted Living was not good. When I would leave to go out, people would be in my room. There were unlicensed workers working there and they couldn't pass the CNA or the LPN test. They were overworked, and the scheduling was not good. They didn't have basic common sense how to do business. My room was perfect for me because I was in my own room and it was big, it had a tub, and it had a door I can go outside to where I can see the animals. The environment and the surroundings were okay, but the management and the supervisor were not good. It was a small assisted living community. The workers were okay, but the supervisor was not okay because she didn't know how to run a facility. The food was pretty good, but we didn't get to choose what we wanted. There were really no activities because the people didn't take advantage to be outdoors feeding the animals and walking around outside. I was the only one outside to do anything.
