"My overall experience with Heartland Assisted Living was not good. When I would leave to go out, people would be in my room. There were unlicensed workers working there and they couldn't pass the CNA or the LPN test. They were overworked, and the scheduling was not good. They didn't have basic common sense how to do business. My room was perfect for me because I was in my own room and it was big, it had a tub, and it had a door I can go outside to where I can see the animals. The environment and the surroundings were okay, but the management and the supervisor were not good. It was a small assisted living community. The workers were okay, but the supervisor was not okay because she didn't know how to run a facility. The food was pretty good, but we didn't get to choose what we wanted. There were really no activities because the people didn't take advantage to be outdoors feeding the animals and walking around outside. I was the only one outside to do anything."

"I visited numerous facilities within a 140 mile radius of my home before relocating my sister from a facility in Nevada to Montana. It was at Beartooth Manor that I witnessed interactions with staff and residents being positive, respectful and compassionate. The friendliness of the staff along with the cleanliness of the facility were very impressive. My sister has been a resident for 3 months now, she is happy, feels safe and is engaged in activities. Though my commute to visit her is an hour, the peace of mind for both of us makes it so well worth it!"

"We visited Meadowlark Assisted Living in Columbus and mom liked the size of the rooms. She also liked the staff really well. They have a lot of activities that they showed us. They had everything from aerobics to puzzles and all kinds of things The dining room, which is a separate facility, was very well set up, it's like a restaurant. The place was clean and well-kept."
