I didn't really find the Lifecare Center of Waynesville very warm, vibrant, or inviting. It was outdated and just kind of old. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. They had gardening, bingo, and craft day. I thought they had a little bit more for activities. They do have a barbershop and a library. They need updating. There were a lot of boxes and stuff by the front door. It just doesn't seem very welcoming and inviting.

My mother-in-law who is 88 and has advanced Alzheimer was a resident for a couple of months two years ago and has now returned to Life Care to live. She was welcomed and remembered by several of the same staff. Even if she did not remember living there, she felt at home by the friendly welcome of staff who remembered her. I have found the staff to be caring, helpful and cheerful. All of our questions and concerns are addressed. They strive to find a good match in roommates. If at any time there is a change we are notified. It is reassuring for us to know that she had an easy adjustment, is content and thinks of Life Care as home.
