My mother is in La Plata Nursing Home. She's been there for a month now. As soon as I walked in, it smelled wonderful and it was clean. The food smelled great here. The residents are happy and clean. The staff is just so welcoming and helpful. They go out of their way to be helpful to both the residents and the families of the residents here. My mom said the breakfast is wonderful. I've eaten lunch quite a bit here and it is delicious. They're all homemade meals. They have an entire calendar of events for the whole month and they include bingo, karaoke, and today, they've got a movie and popcorn. The activities are forever going here. They play a lot of games. They have a giant gazebo out there with a grill and families can come and spend time with them. They have a very large yard and birdfeeders for all the residents outside. They have a wonderful outdoor area.
