"My grandfather was a resident in this facility shortly after suffering a major stroke. He remained in this facility for several years until he passed away. I visited him often when home and my review is as follows:1.StaffThe staff was always friendly towards my family and treated my grandfather well. The stroke left my grandfather bedridden and unable to care for himself, thus requiring around the clock care. Our expectations were that he would be monitored around the clock and kept clean. Since he was no longer able to communicate with anyone, this requirement was particularly important.My grandmother was there daily and spent hours by his bedside. She would occasionally complain that he wasn't being turned as often and had evidence of bedsores. But other than that, I felt that he was fairly well taken care of by the staff.2. FacilitiesThe facilities and rooms were clean and neat. I didn't notice anything that particularly caught my eye from a negative perspective. The other senior residents who were able to move around appeared to be well attended by the nursing home staff. I dont' recall seeing seniors participating in extracurricular activities. However, I didn't have the opportunity to visit frequently or for extended periods since I lived in another state. My grandfather remained in this nursing home for several years before passing away. Although I hated to see him in that condition unable to talk, eat or leave his bed, I knew that he was at least being cared for by caring and competent staff. "

"My brother-in-law has been at the Kosciusko home for close to a year. The people that work there are wonderful. Many of them are Veterans and have a high level of respect for the Veterans that are living there. The interaction with the residents is everything we have hoped for, and we have the highest level of admiration for them. They have been a blessing in our lives."

"My Grandmother lived at Vaiden Community Living Center. She was the very first patient at this facility once it was built and it was awful. She suffered from Alzheimer's and they did not take tentative care of her. They should have turned her over on a regular basis, but instead they allowed her to stay in one spot and she then had a bed sore on her back that took months to heal. She had to go to another facility for treatment five times a week. They did not clip her toe nails and did not give her a daily bath. There were many run ins with the way the staff treated her. My Auntie had to constantly go down there on them because of this unfair treatment. She filed multiple complaints, which led to the head director over the facility being fired. I was very disappointed with this facility and the way they treated the elderly or those with ailments. My Grandmother has since passed peacefully, and I believe it was one of the best things to come for her since her time at the Vaiden Community Living Center. My Grandmother was constantly in the hospital for "something" almost every occasion you blinked. It's ridiculous that you place your trust of your loved ones into some institution's hands and they slap you in the face. "
